Description: Painting on vertical piece of material backed by card, possibly tanzaku style. Part of a set of seven paintings (2024.22.58.3-9).
Long description: Vertical card with a painting of a blooming white lotus and green lily pads. An insect, possibly a water boatman, is depicted at the top of the card in a light blue background. A signature in black ink and a red seal is present at the bottom right corner of the card. The card is a natural colour, the front is textured and the background is decorated with small pieces of gold foil.
