Description: Painting on vertical piece of material backed by card, possibly tanzaku style. Part of a set of seven paintings (2024.22.58.3-9).
Long description: Watercolour painting of tree branches, possibly tanzaku style, on a vertical piece of material backed by card. The flowering branches are depicted stretching across the card with a small group of birds flying above. The design is depicted in watercolour on a natural coloured background. A signature in black ink and a red seal is present at the bottom left corner of the card. The reverse is decorated with gold foil.
