- Long description
- Blue and white glazed porcelain lid to accompany bowl. The lid has a blue swirl and leaf pattern, with three clusters of large leaves, on a white background. It is a dome shape and has a small circular handle. Two fine blue lines encircle its circumference and four encircle the handle, bordering the swirl and leaf pattern. The handle interior is encircled by a fine blue line and bears a Japanese maker's mark. The interior of the lid is plain with two fine blue lines encircling its circumference. The bowl lid is possibly Arita Ware, a traditional Japanese export ware of blue and white porcelain.
