Hand knitted socks [.1-.2] with a pattern of zig-zags in yellow, brown, white and red. [N.B. 'DCF 2004-2006 What's Upstairs?' 4/4/2005]
Long description
Hand knitted wool socks made on 4 needles in stocking stitch with a ribbed top, 3 plain and 2 purl about 5 cm deep. The top is natural coloured with a red stripe the rest in alternating stripe round the sock and zigzags down it, of yellow and brown then white and red stripes, and brown and red and then yellow and white zigzag. The zigzag stops at the toe and just cheques are formed and at the heel a small piece in yellow and brown only.
