Long description
Hand knitted socks made on 4 needles with rather hard wool, knitted in stocking stitchwork with a ribbed top 3 1/2 cm deep, 3 plain 2 purl. The top is made in 4 stripes yellow blue white and red. the rest in the same colours in complicated patterns. Alternate stripes running round the sock of blue and yellow then red and white divided into, bands and running downwards of alternating zigzags and triangles. At the toe the pattern becomes cheques and white and red stripes just under the heel.
