Scarf made from a complete four-selvage textile
Long description
Scarf made from a complete four-selvage textile. Ground of warp-faced plain weave in grey with central band of two-colour complementary-warp weave in red and white flanked by narrow warp stripes in black, red, yellow, green and pink; similar narrow stripes at borders. A length of woven red fringe is stitched to each end. Natural colours and chemical dyes. Probably sheep's wool and camelid fibre. Warp spin Z2S weft Z2S; warp count 52 epi (21/cm); weft count 20 ppi (8/cm).
