Cane arrow or crossbow bolt with leaf fletching. For associated quiver and arrows see [1928.69.17 .1 - .14] [EH [OPS move] 29/9/2017]
Long description
Arrow or crossbow bolt consisting of cane shaft, smoother on one side, carved at one end to a flat point. At the other end, the cane has been split and a diamond shaped piece of leaf fletching inserted into the split. The end of the shaft has been bound with plant fibre to secure the fletching. [EH [OPS move] 29/9/2017]
