Long description
Short sword [.1] with very narrow two edged blade and a small wooden grip, in a wooden sheath [.2] bound with copper wire. The blade has a central ridge and the grip is flared at either end and circular in section. The sheath is also circular in section. It is made from two pieces of wood and is bound along its length, except the chape, with copper wire. It has a carved projection with a hole through it on the front with a leather carrying loop. [SM 28/06/2007]
