Description
Miniature Yosegi-Zaiku (Hakone marquetry) chest (2024.22.31.1) with three drawers (2024.22.31.2-4).
Long description
Miniature Hakone-Yosegi-Zaiku chest with three drawers, each with a small metal handle. Made using Sashi-Mono technique, with intricate geometric patterns applied as an outer wooden layer to the internal wooden chest. The patterns consist of diagonal lines of different shades and types of wood, such as Rokkaku Asanoha pattern.
