1928.69.1202Shield of buffalo hide with flared upper corners and a curved bottom. There is a raised central boss and the shield is angled along both the length and width rising to a point at the pinnacle of the boss. There are eight slits cut out from the surface of the shield through which strips of hide are threaded through from the reverse.
