- Amulet. Box for a rosary. The box is in the shape of a footed vessel [.1] with foot broken off and screw-top lid [.2] The vessel and the lid are of horn, the connecting part above the foot and the finial on the top of bone. [El.B 06/08/2012] Please note that the top finial of the lid is perforated with a hole which may well have been intended to fit a Stanhope or peep image. [MdeA 26/07/2012]
