Long description
Hide shield. Broad and rectangular with two conical copper alloy bosses. These are flat-rimmed and knotted onto a single plant fibre cord threaded through the body of the shield near the upper rim. There is a pointed boss in the centre formed from the hide surface. On the underside there is cane handle attached to leather lugs. [CW [OPS move] 25/8/2016]
