- Lamellaphone , with backrest made from two pieces of cane. The bridge is a tall narrow piece of cane held upright by pins at both side in three places. There were originally 12 tongues. The bar is attached to the board by vegetable fibre tied through between each tongue. [HLR]

The string is then pulled quickly & smoothly through the thumb ring & the top flipped at the same time on to a cassava basket. The string is made from plant fibre.
