- Long description
- Small painted model of Karen woman carrying a bundle on a stick over her shoulder and wearing a blue headscarf. The woman is painted to have a white shirt decorated with red spots in groups of three and tied around the waist with a grey belt, detailed with red lines. The figure is carved and painted with a blue skirt which is patterned with horizontal bands of yellow and rows of diagonal dashes. The woman wears a head band painted blue which is wrapped around the crown of her head an swept back and bound around the bun of hair at the back of her head. In her left hand the woman holds a white painted bundle which hangs down over her back. The figure stands on a carved base which has been painted green. [LKG 15/10/2009]

2008.122.1Smooth bore, matchlock long gun. A 'Cheek Gun'. The gun is muzzle-loading and has a ramrod. The stock is short and pointed at the butt with two grooves carved in each side.
