- Long description
- Tinder pouch with fixed steel. Rectangular, with flared, curved edges and a flap that folds over to close the pouch. The leather is edged with thin brass strips, incised with geometric decoration, and a fire steel is connected to the bottom edge. The steel is incised with a pattern of three semi-circular loops on both sides. The flap has three ornamental openwork brass mounts attached to it, inlaid with faded textile. On the underside of the flap is a hook which connects to a loop on the pouch. On the fold there is a brass suspension-bar with dragon head terminals and three rings. The pouch is lined with leather and ?felt, and the lining has been repaired with stitching. [EH [OPS move] 10/8/2017]
