Description
Long rectangular strip of tightly woven textile
Long description
Long rectangular strip of tightly woven textile with a tasselled fringe at each end. The selvages are along the long edges of the strip. The textile is woven in a pattern of stripes. Towards the centre of the sash the stripes are broad dark blue stripes with narrower red and white stripes. Towards each end the stripes become multicoloured. Both ends of the textile have a wide band of red ending in a red fringe. The textile is a belt or sash worn by women around the waist.
