Description
Circular brass stand for candlestick [1908.48.5 .1]. The pillar and interior of the base are heavily incised with geometric and floral patterns, and there are four stylised Arabic script in the saucer. [MOBB [OPS move] 20/6/2017]
Long description
The candlestick would screw into the balustered pillar of the stand. The pillar is riveted to a smaller incised plate of non-brass metal, which is itself riveted to the larger brass saucer. [MOBB [OPS move] 20/6/2017]
