The inscription on this object was transcribed and translated by Fusa McLynn who volunteered at the Museum in 2013 as: “Tora doshi Kokuzo”, Year of tiger, Kokuzo bosatsu “Nikko-san o-mamori honzon”, Amulet from Nikko.
