The inscription on this object was transcribed and translated by Fusa McLynn who volunteered at the Museum in 2013 as: “Tora doshi Kokuzo”, Year of tiger, Kokuzo bosatsu “Nikko-san o-mamori honzon”, Amulet from Nikko. [other side] “Ne doshi, Senju kannon”, Year of rat, Senju Kannon “Nikko-san o-mamori honzon”, Amulet from Nikko *Identical to 1985.53.886. [FB 11/03/2015]
