The inscription on this object was transcribed and translated by Fusa McLynn who volunteered at the Museum in 2013 as: “Hoshu Nikko-san mangan himitsuku kanai anzen kisho”, Amulet for household safety from Nikko which was made through the divine ritual [FB 08/01/2014]
