Long description
Cylindrical bamboo pipe stem, part of a pipe with carved wooden bowl. The stem is bound with a band of metal wire near the base. There are three stained bands and three incised. The incised bands are decoratively carved with three interlocking repeating designs. A band of plaited cane work sits around the body of the stem and a further bound of thin cane strips.
