Research and responses

The inscription on this object was transcribed and translated by Fusa McLynn who volunteered at the Museum in 2013 as: (Centre) “Jigenji shujo Fukujukai muryo”, a passage from Kannon-kyo, meaning Kannon watches over all the living creatures with tender care, and if we would try to live in the same way, we would get a vast ocean of happiness. (Sides) “Kinryu-zan Senso-ji”, Senso-ji temple at Kinryu-zan . [FB 12/03/2015]
