The inscription on this object was transcribed and translated by Fusa McLynn who volunteered at the Museum in 2013 as: “Kiyomizu-dera Kaminari yoke go-shugo”, Amulet for avoiding thunder from Kiyomizu temple. “Kanzenon”, Kannon. [MJD 25/01/2013]
