The inscription on this object was transcribed and translated by Fusa McLynn who volunteered at the Museum in 2013 as: (On the envelope) “Kotohira-gu shinpu”, Amulet from Kotohira shrine (Inside). Five sheets of thin paper each of which has five Sanskrit symbols. [FB 21/08/2013]
