Research and responses

The picture probably shows the apparition of the Virgin Mary before St. Bernardette at Lourdes. The legend says that Bernadette saw her while gathering firewood by a stream. The stream and a bundle of firewood can be seen in the picture. [El.B 15/08/2012]
