- Embroidered jacket. The jacket is made from several pieces of indigo dyed cotton and white cotton and has been wax resist dyed with blue and white geometric patterns embellished with red, yellow 'x' design. The bottom panel of the jacket is embroidered with geometric 'x' pattern in red, yellow, purple and pink with bands of thickly woven lengths of red, brown and yellow yarn. The top section of the jacket is wax resist dyed and decorated with embroidered filling patterns combining a number of different stitches in orange, red, white and yellow cotton yarn to make geometric patterns. The sleeves of the jacket have been embroidered in a similar way with bands of embroidered geometric patterns and woven strips. [FB 14/05/2012]
