Research and responses

Notes from the donor: Bought from Mr Iiboshi who made my bamboo karui back pack. He had bought it from the market. Interesting that someone working with such traditional materials still buys and used piece made from recycled materials - modern times! A hip basket which traditionally would be used for collecting shitake mushrooms or tea. [FC 20/09/2011]

Notes from the donor: Felicity Wood met her husband George Wood [1930 - 2000] when he [George] was General Manager for BP in Kuala Lumper [1980]. GVW later went on to be General Manager for BP's Indonesia office [Jakarta] and China office [Canton]. Most of the basket collected in the early 1980s sent back with household effects.
