- Basket made from split bamboo of open hexagonal weave, used to sale fruit. The basket has a strengthening rib of split bamboo and top rim of split bamboo. The top of the basket between the strengthening rib and the rim has lengths of twisted red nylon string tied diagonally. A length of twisted red nylon string has also been tied around the bottom 'foot' of the basket. [FC 19/09/2011]

Notes from the donor: Felicity Wood met her husband George Wood [1930 - 2000] when he [George] was General Manager for BP in Kuala Lumper [1980]. GVW later went on to be General Manager for BP's Indonesia office [Jakarta] and China office [Canton]. Most of the basket collected in the early 1980s sent back with household effects.
