- Battle-axe with crecent-shaped iron blade and wooden handle sheathed in copper. [JP 10/11/2003]
- Long description
- The blade has a projecting 'nose' in the middle of the crescent. it is connected to the handle by three bars, the central one with two faces on each side, and the side bars of twisted iron. The handle is bulbous at the top and flared at the butt. [El.B 17/07/2007]

Full name of Dr E.R. Jones possibly Evan Rhys Jones, see records at Regent's Park College Angus Library and Archive which suggest he worked in Africa between 1910 and 1920 with his wife Elizabeth. They were Baptist missionaries and medical staff [AP 21/7/2016]
