The inscription on this object was transcribed and translated by Fusa McLynn who volunteered at the Museum in 2012 as: “Kishu ryoin giseki bangou ichiranhyo”, Chart of seat numbers of Kizokuin (House of Lords) and Shugiin (House of Commons). (Red characters) “Bocho kisoku tekiyo”, Rules for observers. “Meiji 25 nen 11 gatsu innsatsu”, Printed in November, Meiji 25 (1902). [El.B 04/05/2012]
