Long description: Cylindrical, metal dark lantern. With wooden feet, handle, fluted cone top and hinged window with pane of horn. Inside is a socket for a candle. [El.B 30/06/2010]Metal lantern. Cylindrical lantern set on four wooden feet. Conical, fluted top. There is a ridge running around the body of the lantern just below the top edge and another just above the bottom edge. The hinged door has a curved horn pane, and secures with a small latch. Inside a candle socket is set into the centre. There is also a second wall inside which rotates with the turn of a knob underneath the object (in the centre of the feet), and thereby blocks the light of the candle from the window.
