This object was examined by Dr Yannis Galanakis and Stella Skaltsa during the Fell funded project Characterizing the World Archaeology Collections. They described this vessel as a kylix, a vessel related to the storage of oils or cosmetics. They dated it to the sixth century BC. [AS 06/01/2011]

The shoulder is ridged and narrows to a narrow, short neck which terminates in a deep expanded rim. There are two small handles from the bottom of the rim to the shoulder. 1966.3.67Crusie lamp in tinned copper. Saucer base with straight sides and slight projecting spout. A rolled metal wick nozzle has been set into the spout. Vertical strip of metal is attached to the back edge and is decorated with an incised simple foliage or wheat design.
