Long description
Circular base of black and gold lacquer box (2024.22.102). The box base is comprised of a wooden base layer and lacquer overlay. It has a gold design of plants and earth on a black background. It has a symbol of two crossed feathers within a circle. The interior and bottom of the base is plain black.
