Research and responses

"Steelyard, Cannon Street" probably refers to the site of Cannon Street Station, which would have been under construction in May 1865. Cannon Street Station is on the site of a medieval steelyard, the English trading base of the Hanseatic League. [Dan Hicks 25/07/2013]
