Description
Sword bayonet [.1] with metal sheath [.2].
Long description
Sword bayonet [.1] with slightly curved, single-edged blade with broad fuller. Brass cross guard is perforated for gun muzzle; grooved cast brass grip has slot for attachment to carbine. With metal sheath [.2]. Both these items, along with another bayonet and sheath 1884.24.122.1-2, belong to carbine 1884.27.54. Blade is stamped LD near the hilt. Sheath has a knob at the end.
