Description
Richly chased and mounted dagger [.1] with carved ivory hilt and wooden sheath [.2] [SM 19/03/2007]
Long description
The blade has a scrolling design overlaid with silver and a pattern inlaid with copper alloy. The bolster is of copper alloy and silver and is again decorated with a scrolling pattern. The butt has a piece of copper attached to it. The sheath is wooden with several grooves running down its length towards its curved chape. A piece of copper alloy is wrapped around the top half of the sheath. This has been stamped with a pattern. [SM 19/03/2007]
