Long description
Wooden model of execution of criminal - beheading. The model has three figures; kneeling criminal, executioner with sword and executioner's assistant. The criminal is kneeling with hands tied behind back with yarn and head and hair pulled forward. The executioner's assistant is holding the criminal's hair which turns from wood to four strands of black yarn in his hand. The executioner is positioned to the side and is holding a long sword in both hands. The three figures are mounted on a rectangular wooden base. [MJD DDF Body Arts Project 2010/2011 13/10/2010]
