Chinese bow of compound construction. [ASh [OPS move] 3/7/2017]
Long description
Chinese bow of compound construction. The bow is split in two and hinged in the centre with a metal plate, allowing it to fold in half. The bow is made from wood, ivory with a yellow substance (possibly deteriorated rubber or resin) around the grip. Decorated with red and gold lacquer decoration and Chinese script.
