Curved single-edged sword [.1] with projecting guard near top of blade, grip bound with plaited wire and elaborately carved antler hilt. Wooden sheath [.2], painted black and bound with bands of plaited rattan. Plaited cotton carrying cord bound to sheath with strips of cotton textile. [LM 06/06/2007]
