The base of the box is covered in silver paper with the lid having a textile cover that is secured to the base, creating a hinge. On the front of the lid is a paper sticker reading 'PIATNIK. PATIENCE CARDS. PLASTI-SMOOTH. VIENNA, AUSTRIA'. Manufacturer information is printed on the inside of the lid.
