Description
Brass-hilted knife with pommel resembling a Tuareg cross and decorated iron blade. [SM 12/06/2007]
Long description
Brass-hilted knife with pommel resembling a Tuareg cross and decorated iron blade. The iron blade tapers to a curved tip and is decorated with stamped dots on both surfaces. The hilt is made from a single piece of brass and has a narrow flat grip that expands at one end to the width of the blade and at the other to a triangular shape with bulbous rounded tips. A cross has been cut out of this section and four holes have been cut through in line with the cross. The grip and holes are decorated around the edge with stamped crescent shapes. The front of the grip is also decorated with stamped circles with dots in the centre. [SM 12/06/2007]
