According to the Ethnologue Online, Bedawi is the term that should be used. Hadendoa (or Hadendowa) is a dialect of Bedawi found on the Red Sea in Sudan. “Bedawi” is the people’s own name, with “Beni-Amer” used as a name for some of the people. [CW 13/4/2000]
