Description
Head ornament of a plaited hair string with a cowrie shell and a tassel of cuscus hair and feathers. [El.B 10/12/2008]
Long description
The tassel consists of a number of strings onto which have been bound tufts of cuscus hair so closely together as to form continuous strips. The strings are tipped with small red, yellow and green feathers. The cowrie shell is in the middle of the hair string and has short strings of red beads on each side. [El.B 10/12/2008]
