Long description
Black pottery lamp in the shape of a bird. The lamp vessel is a circular saucer lamp with rounded sides and flat bottom. A projecting neck has an open beak at the end, through which a woven textile wick has been threaded; the excess wick is curled into the open lamp saucer. Two wings and a forked tail have been attached to the rim of the vessel. [MOBB [OPS move] 20/12/2016]
