Brass astrolabe. [MJD 11/08/2008]
Long description
From conservation card by Lorraine Rostant 18.10.2000: Circular heavy metal disc, 9 mm thick with a lip on which has been engaved labeled gradations. Has copper alloy disc siting inside on which has been engraved concentric and crossing lines and a movable openwork metal disc, turning around central axis to reveal the pattern of the disc below.
