Long description
Metal spike with wooden ball hung with chains at the top. The staff has a metal point and wooden section covered with a light brown coloured reptile skin. The wooden ball has 14 iron chains attached to metal hoops around the circumference. 11 of the chains have copper alloy coin pendants. The coins are struck with the Arabic year 1223. There is a plaited loop of hide tied to shaft. [MJD DDF Body Arts Project 2010/2011 13/10/2010]
