Long description
Short sword [.1] with leaf-shaped iron blade and leather bound hilt. With a leather bound sheath [.2]. The blade is decorated with two rows of punched dots on both faces. Above the leather bound section of the hilt is a section of several curved thick iron wires, which form a rounded ball. It is possible that this decoration also enhances the grip on the hilt. The hilt also has two rows of copper alloy pins between the curved iron and the iron pommel. The pommel gently tapers out from the grip and then reduces to a point. The sheath is made of wood bound with leather. It is straight in length with a large, bulbous tip. The leather is stitched along the back of the sheath and has been ?repaired with stitching on one section on the front. It has a leather carrying loop made from twisted strips of leather.
