- Long description
- Chopping-sword with elaborately-curved iron blade and triple-knobbed pommel. The blade is single edged. The blunt edge has two shallow concave sections, while along the same distance the blade edge has a single shallow concave section. The tip is then a large 'C' shape and is sharp on the outer edge. The blade is decorated on both sides with deep grooves and heavy short diagonal lines. The handle is made of wood with a grip bound with strips of iron and brass and a triple-knobbed pommel with a hole through it. The pommel is covered in roundheaded brass tacks. [SM 14/06/2007]
