Brass lantern which folds up into the form of a book. The external cover of the lantern is decorated with incised flowers within a rectangular border. The spine has raised horizontal ridges imitating those on a book. When opened there is a single pane (with no glass) and a triangular base with narrow candle socket and triangular top with circular aperture covered with folding oval cover.
