Long description
Pottery lamp of pink or buff ware; very faint traces of slip on bottom. Circular shape with extended wick nozzle and expanded wick hole and lip. Flat bottom with rounded sides on the middle and rounded shoulder. The top has rounded sides with a depressed central section edged with a raised rim; the filling hole is in the centre. Traces of a raised band are visible at the point where the wick nozzle meets the body. There is also a faintly raised lug to one side of the filling hole towards the wick nozzle end.
