Long description
Two sets of knifes [.1, .4] with strongly curved blades, with leather sheaths [.2, .5] and belts [.3, .6] with stamped pattern. The dagger blades are two edged and strongly curved towards the end. Their hilts are made of wood and flare at either end. The sheathes are made of leather and are also strongly curved towards the end. They are open on one side to enable the daggers to be removed. They are decorated with impressed or scored lines and crosshatching on one side and the open edges are highlighted with three leather that has been stitched on with leather thongs. On the back of both sheathes there is a strip of leather for attaching the sheath to the belt. [.2] has become detached from its belt, but [.5] is still tied on to its belt. The belts are also made of leather and are covered in a very similar stamped geometric design. They have a round copper alloy buckle at one end and thin strip of undecorated leather with holes in it on the other end. [SM 18/06/2007]
